The Ganga is one of the most sacred and worshipped river India, regarded as cradle Indian civilization. Uttar Pradesh largest state India blessed with holy important in its region but due to increased urbanization industrialization this under intimidation high water pollution. major objectives present study were investigate heavy metal's concentration sediments River Ganga. Water collected from different locations analysed for Iron (Fe), Chromium (Cr), Lead (Pb),Nickel(Ni) Zinc(Zn). these metals area indicates that highly polluted. possible sources metal pollutants are diverse, originated natural or anthropogenic point sources. concentrations determined more than maximum admissible desirable limit when compared National International organizations like WHO, USEPA. Exposure has been linked chronic acute toxicity developing retardation, neurotoxicity, kidney damage, various cancers, liver lung fragile bones even death instances very exposure.
